Nestled in Doornspijk, Bed & Breakfast De Oude Heerd feels like a hidden gem that I stumbled upon during our recent adventure with the family. Arriving to the beautiful setting, we were immediately greeted by Angela’s warm hospitality, which truly set the tone for our trip. Every detail in our room, from the comfortable bedding options to the thoughtfully elegant design, made it hard to leave! The highlight of our mornings was the continental breakfast, which was not only delicious but presented so beautifully—it reminded me of something my daughters and I would create for a family picnic! Plus, having access to a lovely garden was perfect for quick post-breakfast walks, allowing us to soak in the peaceful surroundings before heading out for our cycling excursions.
